Accomodation

2 hotels that I've checked in vicinity of the venue have been fully booked for the 25th of February. I'm figuring out what the reason is and will suggest another hotel once I've got more information (possibly closer to the city center near the dinner locations).

Hotels along the metro lines

We've been checking hotels (with free wifi, ofc) along the metro lines (i.e. easy access both from the airport and to the venue, and also located close to the center for the meetup dinners), and here are some suggestions (mainly based on booking.com prices and tripadvisor.com reviews):

*Hotel Gea di Vulcano (Republica/Termini)

*Cinemusic Hotel (Re di Roma)

*Hotel Re di Roma (Re di Roma)

*King Hotel (Barberini) - recommended by Pierluigi, based on Drupalday experiences from last December (further suggestions: http://roma2011.drupalday.it/accomodation)

I hope it helps :-)

airbnb.com

Since Drupalcon Copenhagen I have been using airbnb.com.
Has worked perfectly for me so far!

Now I rented a 2 bedroom apartment so I have plenty of space for € 100 per night.

Any new suggestions for Accomodation?

I would suggest that we find hotels in town instead of near the venue, since we then will have a better chance to see the city.
Does anyone have some suggestions for locations in town with decent public-transportation available to the venue?

New suggestions welcome ;)

All the ones listed are booked up :(

Also airport staff strike on Friday - check #drupalairstrike on twitter...

[edit] OK, booked in at Hotel Quirinale as seemed the best of what was left near Repubblica Fri-Mon... let's hope the airstrike doesn't cause too many delays tomorrow!
